Christmas Spirit at Varley

With less than a week until Christmas, Varley employees are getting into the spirit by donating dozens of gifts to The Salvation Army Hunter, Central & Mid North Coast's Christmas Appeal.

We encourage all those able to donate to the Salvos - or any other charitable organisation - to do so this Christmas, and help less fortunate families this festive season.

Merry Christmas to all!

The Newcastle Central Fire Brigade - with their horse-drawn fire-fighting cart - outside G. H. Varley's workshop (left of image) in King Street, Newcastle. Image captured circa 1890.

The large Bonds Store building in the background (next door to Varley) remains today, however Varley's workshop was demolished and replaced by a brick office building many decades ago.
