Last week, Varley were delighted to host fundraiser presentations and barbecues for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service at both our Tomago and Carrington sites.
Along with Varley staff members, Adam Tyrell of the WRHS was in attendance and presented a moving and inspirational talk about the important work that the Service undertakes to aid our community, and has done since 1975. It is genuinely astounding just how many lives are saved by the Service each year, which all comes down to the hard work, dedication and skill of the WRHS team.
The WRHS, however, cannot complete such effective work without the backing of the surrounding community. Varley are ongoing supporters of the Service’s work, and encourage any able others to spare some much needed funds for the cause. As stated by Adam, “by sparing the cost of just a can of coke, a cup of coffee or a schooner of beer each week, you can make a huge difference to the lives of others”.
Varley staff members donated over $6,000 to the WRHS cause, which was an excellent and sincerely appreciated effort by the team.
