The name ‘Heslop’ is famous here at Varley – thanks to brothers Allan and Brian, who both recently celebrated their 60th birthdays.
Brian has been with Varley since 1986, the year that Varley reached its centenary milestone, as a coppersmith and metal fabricator. Allan then joined the crew in 2000, plying his trade as a panelbeater ever since.
Reflecting upon his commencement at Varley all those years ago, Brian said that “it was back then I knew Varley had a great vision for its future…Well take a look at Varley now”. He also makes mention of the unique team culture at Varley, stating that “throughout the several workshops here at Varley, everybody knows one another, the make of car they drive, their favourite footy team, their hobbies and passions…It’s also a place where great friendships have formed.”
When asked their thoughts on Varley’s work, Allan described that it is “quality, because every job is finished to a tradesman’s high quality standard”, and Brian stated that “it gives me great pride to sign-off the Quality Assurance Sheet on the completion of my work.”
From all at Varley, our thanks go to Allan and Brian for their years of dedicated service, and we wish them the happiest of 60th birthdays!
